John Brown, President and CEO
John is an award winning producer, director and videographer with over 30 years in live entertainment. Beginning as a theater major at Cal State Fullerton, John has turned his love for all things inspirational into an award-winning career creating thousands of memorable events around the world. John founded The Showpros Group in 1978 as a full-service event production company and through his leadership has grown Showpros into a premier entertainment organization.

John is also an active advocate and philanthropist giving time, energy and resources to multiple organizations including  Goodwill, Boy Scouts of America, American Diabetes, AIDS Services Foundation, Laguna Beach Art Museum to name just a few.

 

Bruce Allen, VP Marketing and Development
Bruce is a recognized marketer expert in professional services circles and has spent several years producing and directing high-profile events including the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50, VentureNet Venture Capital Conference and ACG InterGrowth.

Bruce has served in senior marketing leadership positions with leading national and international firms including Allen Matkins LLP, Rutan & Tucker LLP, Deloitte & Touche, and Brobeck. Bruce is the founder of Marketing Catalyst, Inc., a full-service marketing agency for professional services firms, and the author of the top-ranked, online journal MarketingCatalyst.

 

Ken Sachs, Director, Media and Technology
Ken has over 17 years experience as a videographer, graphics designer and a technical and creative director. Formerly a professional musician, Ken understands the value of offering every audience an amazing experience. His award-winning camera and editing skills have been showcased at event throughout North America.

 

Cathy Duckworth, Project Manager
A truly creative and positive person, Cathy came to The Showpros with many years of experience working in the entertainment industry as a film and commercial actress and casting director. She has also held the positions of Regional Sales Manager and Operations Manager with other high-profile companies such as First Financial Resources and their Strategic alliance Deloitte and Touche. Cathy believes that it is often the small details that are most important and that everything is just a little bit better with chocolate.

 

Bill Lenz, Media Writer and Creative Consultant
As a writer and voiceover talent Bill has produced award-winning film and video scripts, multimedia presentations, and website content for the Fortune 100, broadcast and cable networks, museums and theme parks, educational, financial, and healthcare institutions, U.S. government agencies and military services. Bill’s background includes five years as an Air Force public affairs officer, television production for PBS and NBC, documentary producer and host, news director and anchor in major market television.

 

Gerri Groubert, Producer and Director
Gerri is an internationally known producer of premium tradeshow and event production. She means business and knows how to bring teams together. Gerri also provides management services for creating temporary facilities, site development and sponsorship marketing for major events. Her site projects have included construction and management of sites for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), World Cup Soccer, Olympic Games, Republican and  theDemocratic National Conventions.
